"Iran says running 7,000 enrichment centrifuges"

L.A.W.--- Now this should be interesting. At what point will Israel destroy Iran's facilities and cite in their defense Ahmadinejad's comments of "destroying" Israel. The world will be "shocked" and scold the bad Israel's, but go to sleep with a smile knowing they are safer for it. L.A.W. says watch the French and Russians on this one; and Obama wants us to cough up our nukes... whose the nut?

TEHRAN, April 9 (Reuters) - Iran is now running 7,000 uranium enrichment centrifuges, a senior official said on Thursday, an announcement likely to increase Western concerns about the Islamic Republic's disputed nuclear plans.
Gholamreza Aghazadeh, head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organisation, also said it had obtained the technology to produce more "accurate" centrifuges, which are used to enrich uranium.
Referring to the inauguration of a nuclear fuel production plant by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad earlier on Thursday, he said in a televised speech: "Today we praise ... the accomplishment of the last stage of the nuclear fuel cycle."

CBC members praise Castro

L.A.W.-- What in the hell is the CBC doing? ... visiting a dictator whose blamed the U.S. for "his country's" problems for forty years. Liberals are notorious for hating America and aligning themselves with those who opress the freedom and civil liberties we enjoy. What hypercrites!!
This ass Castro has cost many their lives and many more to flee to the U.S. on anything that would float... often to their own death. What a farse!

Key members of the Congressional Black Caucus are calling for an end to U.S. prohibition on travel to Cuba, just hours after a meeting with former Cuban president Fidel Castro in Havana. “The fifty-year embargo just hasn’t worked,” CBC Chairwoman Barbara Lee (D-Ca.) told reporters this evening at a Capitol press conference after returning from a congressional delegation visit to Cuba. “The bottom line is that we believe its time to open dialogue with Cuba.” Lee and others heaped praise on Castro, calling him warm and receptive during their discussion. But the lawmakers disputed Castro's later statement that members of the congressional delegation said American society is still racist... http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0409/21008.html

"O Urges Action, But No Decision Made From U.N. Meeting on N. Korea Launch"

President Obama, faced with his first global security crisis, called for an international response and condemned North Korea for threatening the peace and stability of nations "near and far."

L.A.W. -- President Obama, we have a tip for you: the U.N. is useless in stopping rogue assholes, as evident by the way Huessin was dealt with for violating Iraq's cease fire agreement to the Gulf War. Sadly, there should never had been an Iraq war. The U.N. council would have told Huessain in very clear terms: you started wars with Egypt, Iran, and Kuwait and are responsible for the loss of millions of lives as a direct result of your aggression and you have destroyed billions in property. If you do not allow U.N. inspectors to do their work per the cease fire declaration agreement, we will resume war within 24 hours. Period. Instead, the French protected their investment in Iraq, as did the Germans and the U.S. was left with the dirty work of calling a mad-man's bluff. Oh how we forget the technical and well documented REASONS, plural, for going to war in Iraq. L.A.W. says if the Germans or Japanese in 1946 decided to pull this to the U.S., Russia, Brittain and other allies, we never would have allowed it to happen.
